The SAG Awards are always special because the honor comes from within the actors union, but this years red carpet seemed ultra special. Talk about fashion packed!! So I assisted my lovely friend Gilbert Chen this past week at the ENK Children's Club Trade Show here in NYC. Gilbert was there launching his first-ever children's collection called Gil & Jas (for boys & girls), and Barque (just for boys). But don't get it twisted, Gilbert is no stranger to the fashion industry as he is known for his amazing menswear line Barque. There were SO many exhibitors, but I have to say Gilbert's collections took the cake. It's so refreshing to see a designer break away for the normal "kiddie" wear. Gil & Jas, along with Barque, offer a very chic European feel, which puts an amazing esthetic to his creations! Gilbert describes his collection's as "Modern Interpretation of Classics". Looking at his collection ALMOST had me wanting a baby...key word ALMOST, LOL! Forget the winners at the 2013 Golden Globes, let's talk about all the GORGEOUS gowns!!!! While watching the E! Red Carpet my mouth literally kept dropping open from all the fabulous fashion! It's like a dream watching all my favorite gals wearing such beautiful dresses. I would love to be a fly on the red carpet, just for a night. Django Unchained is taking over box offices around the world, but so are the stars of the major motion picture. Kerry Washington is no stranger to the red carpet, as she always looks stunning! However, it appears Mr. Jamie Foxx has stepped up his red carpet game! Jamie showed up at the London premiere of Django Unchained in this oh so dapper purple suit paired with a turquoise shirt and black tie. I am in LOVE with his look! As you guys clearly know by now, Solange Knowles is one of my celebrity style icons! I love her bravery, and the way she always pushes the envelope when it comes to her courageous and bold outfit choices. Needless to say Ms. Knowles showed up at the premiere of HBO's "The Girls" wearing this AMAZING Cavalli printed suit.
