Kiddie Kouture!!

So I assisted my lovely friend Gilbert Chen this past week at the ENK Children's Club Trade Show here in NYC. Gilbert was there launching his first-ever children's collection called Gil & Jas (for boys & girls), and Barque (just for boys). But don't get it twisted, Gilbert is no stranger to the fashion industry as he is known for his amazing menswear line Barque. There were SO many exhibitors, but I have to say Gilbert's collections took the cake. It's so refreshing to see a designer break away for the normal "kiddie" wear. Gil & Jas, along with Barque, offer a very chic European feel, which puts an amazing esthetic to his creations! Gilbert describes his collection's as "Modern Interpretation of Classics". Looking at his collection ALMOST had me wanting a baby...key word ALMOST, LOL! Perhaps I'm biased, but I urge you all to check out Gil & Jas, and Barque-men and children collections! After all, who say's kids can only dress in cartoon character's and tutu's??? : )

FashionAly Fangirling: Quinta Brunson

Hey peeps! How's it goin in your world? The first time I saw Quinta Brunson was while watching "A Black Lady Sketch Show" on HBO when it premiered season one. Shortly after I saw Quinta on her hit ABC series "Abbott Elementary". Both shows are delightful, and if you haven't heard of either you must be living under a rock! Just sayin. Seriously though, Abbott Elementary is one of my favorite shows these days. Like everyone else in the world I am anxiously awaiting season two. I get that classic feel-good vibe while watching. The same vibe I used to get while watching T.G.I.F shows back in the day. If you don't know, T.G.I.F - 'Thank God it's Friday' premiered back in the 90's on ABC. My Best Friend's Closet

Hey there friends! Been a lil' minute. Hope you've all been in high spirits.   Well, let me begin by saying Happy November! I know I sound like a broken record, but honestly, how is it MID-NOVEMBER?! Wasn't it just Summertime? Even though I'm already missing the warmer temps, I gotta admit November always reminds me to slow down and be thankful. Gratitude and Positive Thinking are key elements. I may not have everything I want, but I have everything I need, and for that I give all thanks to God.  I am a very blessed woman. I consider my lifelong friendships to be one of my life's biggest blessings. I suppose it's more like Sisterhood at this point in life💗.
