Another day, another award show, but who's complaining? Not I, said the stylista. The show itself was just mediocre, but if you're anything like me you really only watch to see what fashion will captivate us. White was a major hit on the red carpet...guess that pisses off people who still follow the no white after Labor Day rule hahahahaha! Hellooooo out there beautiful people! It's been a while, so what better time to catch up than Emmy time?! I first have to admit that I was less than wowed with this years wardrobe choices. There were a select few (emphasis on few) who razzle dazzled, but majority of our favorite A-listers looked like they stopped at a random fabric store on the way & threw on scraps & called them "gowns". I'm all for color and statement prints (you guys know that), but with classy award shows like the Emmys, it's only right that you look the part. I mean honestly how hard can it be to find...wait...no, excuse me, not find, but choose from dozens of amazing gowns, jewels, and accessories that are hand picked just for YOU!??? I would literally kill for the chance to feel like Hollywood royalty! I could easily go find a cheap dress at Forever21, and still manage to look better than half the people I saw on the red carpet. I could go on & on about the non-glam-ness, but I

Hugs and Kisses to my lovelies! How are you guys? So, lets recap the BET Awards which aired last night. The host was comedian/actor Chris Tucker (I used to have the biggest crush on him!) and he did an amazing job! Chris went with the flow of the show; cracking jokes even at his own expense. I was definitely entertained. Also, there were many surprises, after all the theme of the show was "Anything Can Happen". Like the Charlie Wilson tribute...OMG! Now on to my favorite part of the show...the FASHION!!! First off let me just say this: NICKI MINAJ!!!! She, by far, was my favorite look of the night! Clean makeup, clean hair, clean jewelry and a clean yet sexy dress....perfection! There were many other captivating looks of the night from both men and women. Kendrick Lamar was so sleek in all white, while J-Cole rocked the hell out of his black and gold sweater. The Great Gatsby is one of the summer's biggest blockbusters & fashion trendsetters so it came as no surprise when our favorite A-Lister's showed up to the Cannes premiere looking "Gatsby Glam". Let me just say this: the women owned the night! I swear they all looked like goddesses!! Seriously, do Nicole Kidman & Cindy Crawford not age? And Solange honnnneeeey...simple breathtaking! Hello lovelies! How the heck are ya?? Jessica Simpson is no stranger to the camera, having rose to fame in her teen years, however her younger sister Ashlee has always remained "Jessica's little sister"...that is until NOW!! Ashlee brought sexy back at the American Ballet Gala where she looked better than EVER wearing a backless, cut-out dress by Alice & Olivia. Ashlee paired the dress with stunning emerald earrings that really made her eyes pop. To top it all off she wore her hair swept back off her face to accentuate the cut-out on the back of her dress. This is by far the best Ashlee has ever looked, and I hope she keeps it up! Praise God for the Annual Met Gala!!! Seriously, I DIE for this event! One of my BIGGEST dreams is to be invited...and it's going to come true one day!!! Don't believe me? Just watch! I get a kick out of watching all of Hollywood's biggest names show up & show out! This is the one event where you can really push the envelope when it comes to fashion! Like seriously, who wouldn't want to rock out like Carrie Bradshaw for the night?? Unfortunately, I did see a lot of downers on the carpet last night. Like I don't get why you'd show up dressed like you're going to dinner with your girls when this is a costume ball...WTF!!! Luckily, these clowns didn't stop the show! There were many shining stars that kept the flavor and reputation of the Met Gala strong! Black & white was a strong duo last night, as well as just solid black looks.
