2013 BET Awards!

Hugs and Kisses to my lovelies! How are you guys? So, lets recap the BET Awards which aired last night. The host was comedian/actor Chris Tucker (I used to have the biggest crush on him!) and he did an amazing job! Chris went with the flow of the show; cracking jokes even at his own expense. I was definitely entertained. Also, there were many surprises, after all the theme of the show was "Anything Can Happen". Like the Charlie Wilson tribute...OMG! Now on to my favorite part of the show...the FASHION!!! First off let me just say this: NICKI MINAJ!!!! She, by far, was my favorite look of the night! Clean makeup, clean hair, clean jewelry and a clean yet sexy dress....perfection! There were many other captivating looks of the night from both men and women. Kendrick Lamar was so sleek in all white, while J-Cole rocked the hell out of his black and gold sweater. I especially loved the Trayvon Martin acknowledgement worn by Jamie Foxx! I was a little disappointed that Beyoncé and Rihanna weren't there, but Nicki made up for it! FashionAly Fangirling: Quinta Brunson

Hey peeps! How's it goin in your world? The first time I saw Quinta Brunson was while watching "A Black Lady Sketch Show" on HBO when it premiered season one. Shortly after I saw Quinta on her hit ABC series "Abbott Elementary". Both shows are delightful, and if you haven't heard of either you must be living under a rock! Just sayin. Seriously though, Abbott Elementary is one of my favorite shows these days. Like everyone else in the world I am anxiously awaiting season two. I get that classic feel-good vibe while watching. The same vibe I used to get while watching T.G.I.F shows back in the day. If you don't know, T.G.I.F - 'Thank God it's Friday' premiered back in the 90's on ABC. My Best Friend's Closet

Hey there friends! Been a lil' minute. Hope you've all been in high spirits.   Well, let me begin by saying Happy November! I know I sound like a broken record, but honestly, how is it MID-NOVEMBER?! Wasn't it just Summertime? Even though I'm already missing the warmer temps, I gotta admit November always reminds me to slow down and be thankful. Gratitude and Positive Thinking are key elements. I may not have everything I want, but I have everything I need, and for that I give all thanks to God.  I am a very blessed woman.
